The black curve corresponds to the situation in which the AgNR has a tilting angle of 42° and the propagation direction of the p-polarized light is parallel to the substrate surface normal. The red and blue curves represent the extinction efficiency of the target under the excitation of s-polarization and p-polarization, respectively, when the propagation direction of the light is perpendicular to the long axis of the nanorod.
