Among the three patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, whose stories are told in Gen 12–50, Isaac is the least profiled figure. There are more stories about him as the son of Abraham and the father of Jacob and Esau than about his adventures as a patriarch, which are limited to one chapter (Gen 26).
