Julie Atkins and Marcy Rothman Strengthen De Gruyter's International Sales Team

Two new employees will start work in the publisher's international sales department in December 2011. Julie Atkins will take on the role of Senior Sales Manager for Asia-Pacific, while Marcy Rothmann will assist the sales team as Sales Manager for the west coast of North America.

"We look forward to welcoming two talented new colleagues with a wealth of international sales experience. With this move, we intend to keep driving the internationalization of De Gruyter forwards and further expand our position in Asia and North America," said Katrin Siems, Vice President Marketing & Sales at De Gruyter. "The ever-growing percentage of English-language content in our catalog heightens our potential for these markets and provides a sound footing for our new sales managers to achieve success."

Julie Atkins joins the company from Alexander Street Press, where she was Sales Manager for the UK and the Middle East. Prior to this, she held senior positions in sales for Asia-Pacific and America at Harper Collins and in the sales department at Oxford University Press.

Marcy Rothmann joins De Gruyter from ProQuest, where she successfully sold electronic products in the western USA in her position as Account Executive. She previously worked as a sales representative for Pearson, Thomson, and Lexis Nexis.
